Note: If you do not have any backups in your organisation currently you may not have access to the edit Backup page.

Use the following steps to edit one of your current backup jobs.

1) Login into your Cirrus account.

2) Click on backup in the left-hand side menu.

Note: For the next step, your organisation will need to have Manage Backup Job permissions. If you do not see the three dots on the left hand side of the Backup Job, please submit a ticket at

 https://support.cirrusbackup.com requesting additional permissions.

3) Click the three dots on the left hand side of the table and then click on Edit. 

Selected Items Backup Job


If you are looking to edit a Selected Items backup, please use the following steps:

1) To remove users or items: 

a) Navigate to the Edit current backup items tab. 

b) Select the users or items you wish to remove and click Delete.

2) To add more users or items: 

a) Navigate to the Edit current backup items tab. 

b) Click the + symbol to expand the Add more items section, 

c) Select the type of item you would like to add. 

d) Select the specific users or items you wish to add and click OK.

e) Click Save.

Note: when adding new users to a job, it will automatically attempt to add all sections of that user's data. If your jobs are split into Exchange and Other items backups, you will need to edit the user and deselect the sections you wish to remove. You can do this by selecting the pen icon to the right, deselecting the sections, and then clicking OK.

3) To edit the backup jobs exclusion list, please follow the steps below in the Full Organization Backup Job section.


Full Organization Backup Job


If you are looking to edit items from a Full Organizational Cirrus backup, please follow the steps below.

1) To remove users or items: 

a) Navigate to the Edit current excluded backup items tab. 

b) Select the users or items you wish to remove from the exclusion list (ie. add back into the backup job) and click Delete.

2) To add users or items to the exclusion list:

a) Navigate to the Edit current excluded backup items  tab. 

b) Click the + symbol to expand the Exclude more items section, 

c) Select the type of item you would like to exclude from the job. 

d) Select the specific users or items you wish to exclude and click OK.

e) Click Save.
